My aunt changed her first name in her 50's (she'll be 87 in April) but I like her "old" name. Since I was 39 when I married, it was very hard getting used to my married last name! I still remember when I went in for a job interview and introduced myself, "Hi, I'm Nickname, Maidenname. . . No I'm not!" That took a little explaining after we quit laughing. It was at a residential school for autistic children too :-)
