AMEN! TO GRACEY!!!!!!!!!
for 16 years, i was married to one of the best surgeons in our state. i never, ever heard him say, "i'm Doctor so and so" in "civilian life. he didn't have to, his ego was fine. the majority of his patients called him by his first name. i call my Pdoc by his first name. he insists that the playing field will be level with his patients.
i went by "Miss Pat" when i worked as a therapist. a patient called me that one day and it stuck.
no need to wave one's "title" around....unless you're Elizabeth.

and if you don't address her "properly", i guess you get your head chopped off!!!!!!!!
and i don't see any need to even discuss it, unless it is essential for one's validation for one's self.........edited by FAYERODY........
