You need to track several days in a row, at least two or three weeks, before you can start making sense of changes in diet versus changes in weight. And you have to track 100% of what you eat, preferably weighing it. People lose weight without going to all that trouble, but I don't think I can get a handle on losing slowly and maintaining once I get to a good weight without good numbers to work with.
