That's a very interesting opinion to my mind. For me it is exactly *because* I already know why I think and act the way I do I find psychoanalytic therapy useful - because it focuses on unconscious feelings and not hashing on conscious intellectual stuff that I know so well. That's precisely why for me for instance CBT seems complete waste of time.
