Would you work with her? Or find another that may not have the credentials?
yes if this was me I would work with this therapist. I dont want to have dissociative disorders so I am very serious when it comes to talking with my therapist about what my problems are and what I have tried to fix them and am open to trying anything my treatment providers want me to try. to me there is no pressure when someone tells me they only see clients that are serious about recovering/ healing.

I think of it this way if I am fine with how I am and how my mental disorders affect me then why am I in therapy. therapy is for getting better not staying the same, stuck in the same problems over and over again.

if I really want to get better then yea I would see the one and only therapist in town that says to me they only see those who are serious about recovering. no pressure, no hard decision for me.

it all comes down to me and whether I like the me I am and whether there are things in my life I want to improve.

another way to think about this is if I had a medical disease that could only get better with a doctors help, if I wanted to get better I would see that doctor that could help me get better and do anything possible to get better.

my suggestion is think about how you are now and whether there are things you really really want to change and get better. or whether you prefer to stay stuck continuing to have the same problems interfering with your life, your answers will lead you to whether its worth it for you to see this therapist or not.
