DocJohn: The only way to send completely anonymously is to send us a money order to the mailing address listed above. ... If you pay by PayPal, we will see the email address you registered with PayPal, as well as your name. We do not do anything with this information, but there is a record of it.

Thank you for your honest disclosure.

What you seem to be saying is that, essentially, as long as I don't link my user name here in any way with my donation, that no one will really know who I am. To be sure, there will be a record but there's no way of knowing that "John Doe" is also "spiritual_emergency". That's all I need to know.

Otherwise, Pyewacket... I don't know who you are, but I do know that you're a human being. I also know that to be a human being is sometimes, a very difficult thing. There have been times in my own life when I've had to lean on others. I was grateful for what they had to offer to me in those times.

For a while, I also felt badly about the neccessity of my leaning until I had the opportunity to be the one who was leaned upon. It was then that I realized that every gift is twofold. In giving, we receive and in receiving, we give. I will give freely in this moment and trust that when you have the opportunity to do the same, you will do so. When you give, it may not be to me. But maybe it will be someone like me, or someone like you -- each of us, human. I also, respectfully acknowledge that of all the gifts we have to give to one another, that which is purely monetary is probably the least of them.

Therefore, I thank you for the gift of your humaness, because it gives me the opportunity to recognize my own and be okay with it. I can be wounded. I can be vulnerable. I can be needy. And that's okay. To be human is to sometimes, go through some very difficult times and I think this is a really wonderful idea.

A tip of the hat is also owed to DocJohn, who seems to be one of those human beings who really has his heart in the right place.
