It really would not be appropriate for us, here on PC, to be making recommendations with regard to discontinuing medications. This is a question you need to pose to your prescriber. Also, it seems that everyone is different in terms of how they react to withdrawing from medication.

I've taken myself off of psych med's numerous times... mostly without my doctor's oversight. And I've never had any serious problems. But I know from reading posts, here on PC, that other people do have great difficulty. So it seems to be a very individual thing. Of course, even in my case, I didn't just stop taking the medication I was on. I tapered off... not all that slowly... but I didn't just quit cold turkey. In general, I don't think quitting cold turkey is ever recommended unless it's really necessary.
