Kris, I've been on Lamictal for a year or so. The rash shows up no later than 6 months into it, according to what I've read. I have dermatologist-documented psoriasis, outbreaks of which are caused by stress, over large areas of my body, and the leg rash has been there since August. With the use of the steroid creams the dermatologist gave me, they have lessened considerably. So I'm pretty sure I'm not going to die, at least not from the rash. :-)

I think my dentist was overly sensitive to the mouth sores, but I did call my pdoc and inform him of them. I can run over the two on the top of my mouth with my tongue, and they feel like paper cuts -- not unlike what I get when I burn the roof of my mouth with pizza or something. Sometimes too much chocolate (as I had over the holidays) will cause sores. Stress can do it as well. They also could be related to the psoriasis. Pdoc said if they spread, we'll get me off the Lamictal, but otherwise we shouldn't be freaked out about it, as there could be many explanations.

It'll all work out. I just hope it works out without my having to go off Lamictal!
