There's also valerian root, kava kava, and mytragyna hirsuta that help to relax and sleep. Red vein kratom can also be mildly sedating. Check legality in your areas, all of those are still ok where I live. The hirsuta used to knock me out like a ton of bricks but it hasn't the last three times I've tried. Valerian and kava can be purchased in some teas in the grocery store. Also, some people have experienced interactions with these plants and psych meds. I have had no such troubles.
Also, certain foods can be sedating. I swear, 2 tacos loaded with Cholula and I'm out like a light for a long while. Other foods are stimulating.
