[you do realize that beans and tortillas are carbs?]

i do believe i clearly stated i was counting beans and torts as carbs.
the important thing i have learned is that we are all different in the way we process foods, and metabolize meds. that is why i believe so strongly in charting my intake and doses. my docs cannot seem to understand that the 60% of people who make up the "Norm" on the Bell Curve leave 40% to be mistreated.

my body 'likes' beans, takes it's time breaking them down, leaves my sugars lower than the torts, which contain lipids (fats) and processed white flour (neither of which are good for me). ditto for corn products and multi-grain breads; better than cereal for me. apples are better snacks for me than carrots, even tho the chart says i'm getting the same amount of sugars, there is something different about them.

i urge people to not rely heavily on 'mass population statistics', but to find out what is actually happening inside your OWN body. cater to your own needs.
