I find the discussion interesting. I have noticed I have a tendency to fall into depression when I am not exercising and getting sunshine: One article states:
As discussed, neurogenesis is regulated by a variety of factors. Exercise has been consistently shown to enhance hippocampal neurogenesis by increasing neuronal differentiation and new cell survival. Though the data are limited, there is reason to speculate that immune cells may participate in the enhancement of neurogenesis following exercise and environmental enrichment.
I assume the acne I had as a teenager and gum disease during pregnancy/on and off after 1st pregnancy is indicative of having inflammation in my body.
During various reading, I have come across articles that state eating a lot of sugar causes inflammation.
When I am depressed and/or tired--everything hurts! Especially my attempt wound, joints and back. Maybe inflammation increases when we don't get enough sleep?
