I know that it can "feel" like there is a force out to pull you down, but, try not to consider this "feeling" a true fact. It's ok to feel down and vent, after all no one likes to lose a job and it can feel like the end too. One never knows when a job hunt can end up being something that can be a positive in one's life. Also, have you ever tried going to a temp agency? Years ago I worked for a temp agency and ended up getting two jobs from just being a temp someplace and I also met a lot of people I never would have met otherwise. A lot of people are struggling, even ones that have jobs and are struggling to make ends meet. Have you ever thought about investigating one of the providers like "visiting angels" where you can work as a person that visits an elderly person just to do some light cleaning and errands for them as well as keep them company? I don't know what job you lost if it was a night job or day job, but maybe you could pick up a waitress job in a nice possibly high end restaurant to earn some money until you find something better. That's a way to possibly meet a nice guy too. You may even check out some golf clubs if there are any around your location where you live to see if they might be looking for help.
TY.

Great suggestions, though I can't think about getting another job right now.... my head is not wrapped around the concept that I have to apply for jobs again.

I am waiting until Friday when I find out more about unemployment....
