Sorry to everyone for not answering this more promptly, but SS and I talked about this in chat. I recommended trying a detromethorphan (DM) syrup rather than using the over-the-counter (OTC) acetaminophen-codeine-caffeine combination, as there is only 8 mg of codeine in each tablet. To get a reasonable antitussive (anti-cough) codeine dose, one has to take too many tablets, resulting in the ingestion of more acetaminophen than should be taken on a regular basis. - Cam
