It’s good that you get paid well but unfortunately if it doesn’t allow you to be independent and have your own place and pay your own bills, it isn’t paid well enough. Plus lack of health insurance and likely inability to buy private one (not affordable), just indicates that unfortunately that’s not enough.
You might qualify for free vocational services. In your state it’s MRC, Massachusets Rehabilitation Commission. It’s free. If you have a legitimate diagnosis, apply and if you qualify, you might get assistance in whatever areas you need. You’d be surprised what they can help with if you qualify. It doesn’t matter that you are high functioning, it’s not just for low functioning people. You clearly have hard time managing your life and you have a diagnosis. I am speaking from professional stand point here and know exactly what I am talking about.
Now of course you might not qualify but you wouldn’t know unless you tried. They’d likely give you their evaluation even if you bring diagnosis from your doctor. I’d try.
