Take magnesium twice a day and take a hot bath when you're not getting enough from your meds. This helps. I hope you get the support you're seeking.
PS: I cried in pain at the hospital for two weeks before my long stay..before they gave me something stronger than morphine.
I wish I never knew about oxy. It's a nasty prescription to get hooked on

Are you still taking oxy or going through withdrawal? I am sorry you got hooked on this.
I took oxy in the hospital in 2015 then when they sent me to an inpatient mental hospital, they took all the pain meds away cold turkey (the hospital gave them to me every 4 hours during my entire stay). I was in so much pain but tried not to complain because I was so scared that they would deem me mentally incompetent.
When my finger was operated on last year they gave me some Vicoden. Fortunately, once these pills run out--I adjust to it quickly. Though it is hard for me to resist taking Vicoden when it is in my cabinet. The high does feel good but when it wears off it can start making you feel depressed when you have been on it for more than a day or two.
The only pain pills I have are Naproxen and Ibuprofen. I took 300 mg of Gabapenten to help me sleep. Since I am still in some pain today, I must have carried something that was too heavy yesterday. It was likely just the groceries. I sometimes forget that I can't lift very much anymore. There in a portion of my ribs that hurts when I tire but there are additional portions that are hurting. It is probably going to hurt a lot when I work tonight but it will fade in another day or two and be what it always is.
I will soak in a nice hot bath today and then take a nap. The bath is a great suggestion!
