I have been picking my scalp for nearly 8 years. did anyone of you ever tell your Dr about your dermatillomania. I have a new Dr as I have recently moved . I seriously doubt shes ever dealt with anything like it before . I am on lexapro for anxiety/depression. I wanted to be put on my prozac that always did the trick for anxiety depression with the perk of helping my dermatillomani.t
I never have even told any Dr about my dermatillomania. Anyway this new doc is against Prozac. Idk i just need to fig out how to get this under control. Its so embarrassing to talk about ,that i never work up the courage at my apts in the past to say anything. Its more uncomfortable now since this doc doesn't specialize in woman's mental health like my old one did. I dont really want to drive over an hour to start seeing my old Dr again. She was so empathetic and truly understanding though. I need to get over my fear of being looked at like a freak and somehow bring it up to the new doc.
