I am on the Optifast diet. Oprah Winfrey has touted it before. It is one where you buy products (bars, shakes, and soups) and eat six of them a day. I am approaching losing ten pounds (after 5 weeks.) I also attend weekly teaching meetings and get weighed each week. It's okay. I'll be able to start eating some regular food next week and by the end of 12 weeks, the end of the program, I'll be back to regular foods, knowing my personal metabolism rate and how many calories to eat each day to lose more weight or maintain my weight. It's a rather expensive program, but I was getting into obesity. At least now I'm only "overweight"! I hope to lose about 30 more pounds ultimately.

Hubby is on the diet, too, and has lost about 25 pounds so far. Men lose weight more easily, it seems. Oh, well.
