I am sorry about the hysterectomy and what that means for you.

Women often start having increased depressions around the time of menopause. The surgery may have had an impact upon you on a few levels.

Do you think you might also be experiencing some grief?

Do you see a psychiatrist and/or a therapist?
Is it time for a med adjustment?

Do you have people around you, willing to understand and support you?

Are you safe today?

Do you have interests/hobbies which might help to distract you from depressive thoughts?

I'd had a few years when I'd found I got away without treatment, but then the depression came back with a vengeance. I struggle with thoughts everyday, too. I try to distract myself with various activities/pastimes.
My H is around a lot and is very supportive, thankfully.

I hope you get some helpful replies.
