I don’t know it’s weird.
I decided to give this sort of fancy mental health outpatient a try. I guess they cater to higher clientele then the other place I go to. The place I currently go to accepts Medicaid. The place I called does not, but they take Medicare. I don’t qualify for Medicaid anymore. And a lot of places take Medicare where I live, including excellent hospitals and very good physicians.
I didn’t like being on Medicaid. I heard stories about horrible care and rude doctors. And a lot of places don’t accept it. I’m just on the Medicare that people 65 and older are on. I really don’t mind the copays.
Anyways, I called this place thinking I’d have some sort of trouble, or even have to be on a waiting list. But nope, I got an appointment in a few weeks to see a doctor.
I’m not saying anything to my therapist or current doctor. I want to meet with this new doctor before I do anything permanent.
I was amazed at how simple it was.
