My brother said he was a big, muscular, black man, nice enough guy but not someone you'd want to tangle with. Gee, wonder how that happened; do you supposed elementary school had something to do with it? PD isn't a bad nickname, as long as you can keep people from knowing your actual name. He apparently did well in the service, other guys would ask what the initials were for but he wouldn't tell. Not uncommon, lots of people don't like one of their names or something or go by their initials but usually will tell good friends or something but he would just never tell no matter what. I'm glad for him he was getting out though!
