Yes, I have read a number of books by Alice Miller -- some time ago. One is "For Your Own Good" I think. I largely agree with her on many things, but the impression I have gotten from her more recent books is that, in her frustration with how dismissively her thesis, that "child abuse" produces mental illness, was received by the psychiatric profession, she became quite bitter and thus actually less effective in advancing her viewpoint.
