So far, I've had 2 cases of mania while taking Latuda. One last June and one in January that lasted almost a month. It was mixed mania because I had an SSRI introduced. We took away the SSRI but left Latuda in place. Latuda should have kept me from getting manic.
I see my dr today and I'm asking him to put me back on Seroquel XR but at a lower dose than what made me a zombie. Seroquel is indicated for both bipolar depression and mania. I never had mania on Seroquel.
Latuda has been very good for depression but I don't find it very helpful in preventing mania.
