If your therapist is encouraging you to move away from second-guessing her thoughts, it seems likely that she would have explicitly explained her intentions rather than leaving you to work it out. Perhaps the outcome of the reduced contact has resulted in you feeling closer to your EMDR therapist regardless of the intentions of your other therapist, a kind of self-preservation response.
