I can't take any antidepressants or stimulants. They destabilize me. Like you, I take Tegretol XR and like that medication, but I believe it is my Seroquel XR that does the most. My Seroquel XR is a wonderful med for me. It calms/prevents mania, mixed episodes, anxiety, and depression. The best bang for the buck. Luckily it's now available in generic so my copay for it is low. I also take a small dose of Lamictal at 100 mg, which has been helpful for depression (not mania, for me), and a mini dose of Klonopin.
