Speaking of trying...I have, I do and I will continue but Gawwd it's sooooo depressing! I get no help...AT. ALL. This drives me to resentment and resentment always puts me in a bad place. Yes, I do express my needs and expectations but all I get are ears that listen to me and words that agree with me but nothing happens. Nothing changes. Just the same ole, same ole.

Right now, I have a pile near my desk of deceased mother-in-laws recipes. Maybe dating back 30 odd years? There are 2 more boxes of it too. Yes, it's spouse's job to go through this but let's get real, if it's going to get off the dining room table it will be because I do it. I could just throw them out but I want to make sure nothing important gets thrown away. She had Alzheimer's and toward the end started hiding valuable items, some we haven't found yet. I'm just feeling overwhelmed and appreciate venting.
