We have a daily routine etched in stone from the moment we get up till we go to bed with a little leeway for variance, but not much. This is why we work 6 days a week because 2 days off causes system chaos.
Everyone knows the routine, but the routine requires the required activities to trigger the right alter at the right time for the right job. Anything more we are lost. If we control our present and be ready on standby for something unexpected- a contingency team....we just might be able to repeat the routine the following day again. Success is waking up to restart the routine.
Why is the voices of the Doctor and 7 of 9 from StarTrek Voyager dictating this?
We are a finally tuned vessel, a ship if you please, and we operate within certain parameters to keep stable to carry on.
