I'm lucky because my doctor has two nurse practioners who can prescribe too and they're much easier to talk to and have a broader view of things. I think my doctor is too hurried and wants "interesting" patients rather than chronic ones or ones that don't improve or have a different agenda from him (that would be me :-)
