10 times, with seven for mania (some with psychosis and/or mixed features) and three depression, one of which I received seven ECT treatments. Two of the manic hospitalizations we're back to back (just one day in between).

I was also taken to a hospital in Taiwan once for severe depression, but didn't stay inpatient. They just sent me back to my apartment with bags of pills.

All of my inpatient hospitalizations we're followed by Intensive Outpatient Programs or Partial Hospitalization Programs.

I have been on the verge of additional hospitalizations, but luckily my psychiatrist is great about giving me emergency appointments, often same day. Once my husband threatened to take me to the hospital in Maine while on vacation there when I became manic on Provigil. My husband made me stop Provigil and that helped a little.
