I had a great time at a clubhouse one Summer years ago, when they were less employment oriented. I was the afternoon receptionist five days a week. We only got about five or ten calls all afternoon tho. I got on well with a former heroin addict there on voc rehab and we would talk about movies all afternoon. I had a swell time!

I moved away from that city and other clubhouses didn't work out. I attended a mental health drop-in for many years. You have to try a lot of things to find one that works out. Sometimes finding someone you click with at a place makes all the difference. I have fond memories of my time at the clubhouse and drop-ins.
