Your hair is really beautiful! It looks so well done that it's almost artistic-looking. The waves even add to the beauty.

I haven't been doing that well lately, but I have good moments. Yesterday my therapist taught me some really interesting stuff, and then sent me a link to an equally interesting YouTube video featuring a lecture by an MD who specializes in interpersonal neurobiology. I was glad that I've taken psychology courses in the past so that I could understand the lecture fairly well. Basically what I learned were the neurobiological explanations of various types of anxiety. Both my therapist/psychologist and the lecturer said that certain psychotherapeutic approaches can reverse or at least help ease such anxieties. Basically retrain how the brain operates in certain ways. Encouraging!

I, of course, believe medications are the main treatment for certain mental illnesses (especially for bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, or the like), but also believe psychotherapy can be equally good, or even better, than medications for certain others (like various forms of anxiety). I still have a lot of work to do in therapy, but am excited to have a new psychologist with a more scientific approach. I think that might be just what I needed. She has been a professor at two universities in addition to providing therapy.
