Sorry, AmandaLouise, to hear what has happened to you. I'm also sorry that I didn't make it clear about "paper training"; what I meant was when I noticed signs that she may need to go, that I would have her go to the bathroom. (My husband has warned me about making comparisons with dog training! - I never had children, only dogs.)
You also gave me a few good ideas that I can pass along to my step-daughter.
