I recently had a fraud/theft issue, and I never have anyone in my home, but did have the contractor and less than 8 ppl at different times in my home. The contractor was the only one who was in my home and came back (the cc company says my card was taken from home, and returned) yet, they closed the case without resolution. The police, locally, wouldn't even file a regular report because nothing was stolen from the home. The "thefts" were in stores all over the State, but none in the city, and since I had my card, it technically wasn't stolen.

Gotta breathe... do what you can and don't worry about the rest... moving on.
