If I'm not elevated or super anxious to the point of agitation, Ativan can bring down my mood. I don't know if in my case I'd call it depression, but rather sedation to the point of not feeling well. I used to have to take 1 mg, or sometimes even up to 2 mg in the morning to ease my akathisia. That was usually soon after I took my usual 600 mg of morning Tegretol XR and 80 mg of Geodon, which together can be sedating at times.

Once I finally got off of Geodon my akathisia went away. I still take 0.5 mg of Ativan in the morning (still getting weaned off of it), but no longer have any major sedation. My mood is fine at the moment.
