Thank you so much everyone. I cannot believe I have made it to this point. It brings up a million different thoughts in feelings, especially in light of the fact that I have been going through a particularly difficult depressive episode since October. However, this is what I want. This is what I have always wanted and I am not going to let my mental health issues stop me. It is scary to not have my illness stabilized yet (after 9 years) and realize that there is a great possibility that I will be taking on such a rigorous, intense educational commitment. Still, I intend to get what I want. So there. When I am with my patients at my internship, I know I'm doing exactly what it is I was meant to be doing.
