I went to the boys Scouts Arrowpoint Camp. Where you get your specialty patches.
I chose to be a cook, since I wasn't very athletic.
They gave me three pots. One for meat, another for rice, and one for pasta.
Fresh as I am, started cooking for the first time in my short life. I think I was 9 or 10.
The meat was hard as hell. The rice was a blobber and the pasta was undercook.
In my wisdom, I thought, what can go wrong if I mix the three dishes. They may taste better.
It took a while for everybody to finish their endeavors, which gave me time to cook the mixture even more.
My helper set the table and I came out of the tent with only one pot.
The only good thing was that it was hot. Very hot.
I, with a lot of pomp, started serving my magic dish.
Whoever didn't get burn, vomited. Some even running. What a show did I put up.
The Scout master didn't say a word. I was smiling all the time, like a good host. Thinking I'll never get the dam patch.
At the end of the ceremony, I was the last one called in. Every kid booed. But I got the patch.
It was good to have an influential father. First and last camp for me.
No question. I'm exhausted.
