I don't know if this is helpful for you or not but this works for me and I switch off not thinking about what other people thinking because they're NOT thinking about me.

I feel you for the self loathing that follows after acknowledging & owning the inappropriate hurtful words.

When this happens, I think we are too hard on ourselves, bipolar or not we're all *** hats
