"Bosom buddies" when referring to a close friend. This term actually references trusting someone so much you'd bare your heart, aka your bosom, to them. Or it could refrence a man trusting a friend so much he'd present his bared chest to them knowing the friend wouldn't harm him with his gun/sword. Chest is another term for bosom after all.

Using the term "gay" to describe being carefree and happy, not as a reference to one's sexuality (or more rudely, as an insult or slur).
