Hi lialice15. I don't know if it's being possessive or not, I don't see it that way. If I had a partner, I'd like it if she said what you said. Then obviously I'd ask her if she was okay with the couple coming over for dinner etc., and if she wasn't, I'd be okay with that. That's about the depth of my understanding.
