Im on Brintellix in Aus or Trintellix in US I think or is it the other way around? lol can't remember I started on 5mg for a week went to 10mg but found that was too much made me slightly anhedonic kinda so been on 5mg for 8 weeks- it's a good medication works quickly for anxiety has a much shorter jittery period than fluoxetine, venlafaxine, desvenlafaxine, wellbutrin but it does cause nausea not serious at 5mg just a little queasy at 10mg same but a bit longer.
Had minimal sexual side effects. Take it at night- seems to be the best for me although it doesn't make me drowsy or wired now at first it did both but now it's fairly neutral on that front.
I know it's still hugely expensive in the US it's not subsidised in Australia so needs to be done on a private script expensive by our standards at $63 from Chemistwarehouse I get about $30 back through private health so works out quite ok.
Often people say & even my doctor said "oh it's really just another SSRI" it's really not though. Worth a try for anyone considering it
