First of all, don't snort. I know that you know that's not good for you.

Besides that, some pills have specific coatings and specific binders/fillers that cause slow release or fast release. If you release a med too fast, it can really mess with you in a dangerous way.

I tried asking my pharmacist if I could crush my lamictal, and she said no because it wouldn't be as effective. It's supposed to be slow release to help you absorb it better. Otherwise, the med absorption is all messed up and the sudden influx or all the medicine could harm you. Thus, you really should ask your pharmacist for advice on crushing your med. Some are ok to crush, but some are not.

Edit: and again, don't snort. You'll damage your nasal membranes like 2ISAB said. It's really not worth it.

I know it sucks to wait such a long time, but you want to make sure you're safe. You can ask about putting it under your tongue... because all the capillaries/veins there make things faster to absorb... BUT ASK YOUR PHARMACIST FIRST!!
