What about getting it as a birthday present? There's a new game coming out in August anyways.

I like the idea of exploring the helpless feeling suggested in this thread. Having material possessions doesn't fill the void of identity.

I have three sons and they are all very different in how they view finances and material possessions or what they perceive as "their" material possessions. It's actually my oldest that resembles parts of what you are asking about. Hubris is the solution, as I'm in the midst of watching him his pride and ego change as a result of consequences for his decisions. Nothing too far in the legal system so to speak but this entitlement over believing he needed a private school secondary education to be whole is a piece of his obsessive belief system.
