Use that calculator I posted a link to as a guide. I found two parameters that would effect calories but nothing else. This is weight and activity class. Activity class determines how much in shape you are by basing it off of the amount of regular exersize you do. The weight has the most significant effect on calories for obvious reasons.

Using the rule of thumb of 100 calories per mile, which is about 2000 steps, the calories per step come to 20 steps per calorie. Still, that calculator that I posted the link to, allowing for some variation, seems to support your calories burned I do think this calculator will be more accurate. Still, it will come down to the scale.

I am trying to tune my band to match yours for now which I think would make for a much more accurate calculation of calories. But I do not know how accurate. So far, I put the activity class up to the max. I then reduced my weight on the mobile app until I ended up with very close to 24 steps per calorie that your watch calculated. I am down to weighing 80 pounds on the app.

When we post the steps counted at days end, lets post from the band the calories burned. Let’s see if our steps per calorie keeps being the same. For shits and giggles, I also will go to the gym that I rarely go to and see what the calculator on the treadmill says. We will figure out how to get our bands accurate for our purposes with respect to calories burned one way or another.

By the way, I think you should enable the heart rate monitor. That is the only thing I go by to determine if my walk is a cardio workout.
