Unfortunately, it could be a turn-off for him. That
is a possibility. But, I think that how you present yourself is the important part. healingme4me made an excellent point:
you are not defined by your illness. You are so much more than the illness.
I would recommend telling him when you feel that it's the right time ~ and briefly state that you are dealing with _____ (depression, anxiety, or whatever). You do (or don't) take meds and regularly see a therapist to help. That's it.
Personally, I wouldn't go into deeper conditions (like personality disorders, abuse, etc) until I was farther down the road and I felt accepted by him.
