Thank you for the positive replies, it’s a fine line parenting and interfering when you know something isn’t quite right and being labelled a helicopter mum!
My instinct was to not give up on him until we had a professional opinion. We are both thankful to have a diagnosis and to know it was not down to him being ‘just him’ as my son would say.
