Hi everybody.

I'm a bit frusrated. I recently started taking Effexor in combination with Adderall, and I thought it might be working but now I'm not so sure.

To make a long story short, I took Celexa first and it worked for about a year, decided I needed to switch as it wasn't helping, was forced to take vitamin supplements and cut my Celexa cold turkey by my mother, and then took my Celexa for another year while it wasn't helping. After this my doctor added Adderall and it helped dramatically for about six months, then stopped working other than giving me the much needed energy boost. Now I'm taking Effexor with Adderall.

Is it normal to need to try a bunch of different medications, and is it normal for them to stop being effective?

Effexor evened me out emotionally at the start, but made me irritable, and now I just feel low. (I've been on it about a month and a half) I have an anxious feeling that I need to go home and cry while I'm in class, and when I get home it just sinks into sadness. I don't want to do anything, I don't want to socialize, all I want to do is distract myself by sleeping or playing video games. I'm frustrated, as I made a lot of progress with Celexa, but then it stopped working. I feel extremely satisfied with myself and my life, and I'm having thoughts of suicide once again. (I'll be ok) I really am not sure what to do with myself.

Any help would be appreciated.
