I know what you mean. I see pictures of people from middle school who were nasty to me because I developed my mental illness and they didn’t understand so they decided to turn the whole school against me.

Anyways, in these pictures they are smiling with their perfect teeth and perfect bodies in luxury European vacations and are in grad school and have money.

But for me, it goes both ways. The kids in high school were horrible to me as well. But now they are in jail, dead, on drugs, multiple kids with multiple partners, never worked a day in their lives and are in general unhappy.

I have job security, decent money, money to travel in the country but still I can afford to travel, and I am in general happy and doing well.

So for me, while I’m not on luxury European vacations, and I don’t have the perfect body, I still feel happy and I feel like I’m living my childhood dreams.
