It is very hard if you've had an experience like something in the past. I had Meniere's syndrome which causes sudden vertigo and I had an attack when I was driving and that was heck but I kept going! (Didn't see I had a choice) and got home okay. I remember that and figure my body/brain/self is going to do whatever it can to help me out so if I get scared I kind of rely on my body to "make it" until safety.

I've had asthma attacks that were bad, etc. and I get anxious I'll run out of inhalers, always get new prescriptions for my inhalers and leave a little in old ones and save up old ones, etc. until I get unhappy with my attitude and remind myself I'd get help or call 911 if things were that bad ever. I then use up the old inhalers and throw them away (and start over :-)
