I'm sure some therapists look up clients up on the internet/social media out of curiosity just like a lot or other people. It is technically unethical to befriend clients on social media, however. It can violate terms of confidentiality not to mention potentially cause a slew of other problems. Therapists should be tech savvy enough to know this but I'm always surprised at how clueless some are. Therapy practice Facebook pages turn me off too but a surprising amount of Ts have them.
