after a brief power outage, the blue light on my harddrive turned yellow. it is not blinking, it is just yellow. the red light on the power strip was blinking though. but after the power came back, my computer worked okay. still, i am sure the yellow light means something is not right. i changed the power strip but the harddrive light is still yellow. could the surge when the power came back on have damaged something?
