Extreme (to the point of falling over, it's a balance disorder) dizziness; caused by eyes or brain or both being out of sync with one another. If you've drunk too much and had the room spin on you, that's it :-) With Meniere's Syndrome, within an hour of the vertigo I'd throw up (just like when you're drunk) so I had to get home. After throwing up, I'd have to sleep for 3 hours, not by choice, literally couldn't have stayed awake to save my life. Then you wake up and "hope" it's gone for the moment because it's totally random when and how often it hits.
